The Crossing Announces ‘The Months of Moderns 2021’

The Crossing is joining forces with the Annenberg Center to present “The Month of Moderns 2021.”

The showcase will include three outdoor programs throughout Philadelphia and New Hope which will take place between June 3-19, 2021.

First up, The Crossing will reprise its October 2020 showcase “The Forest” at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope.

Performance Dates: June 3-6, 2021 

Next up, the company will present the world premiere of Matana Roberts’ “we got time” at the Woodlands in West Philadelphia. The performance, which honors the life of Breonna Taylor, will be presented in collaboration with Ars Nova Workshop.

Performance Dates: June 11-13, 2021

Finally, the company will world premiere “At which point” by Wng Lu, an expanded version of Ayanna Woods’ “Shift,” and the U.S. premiere of David Lang’s “the sense of senses” at the Awbury Arboretum in Germantown.

Performance Dates: June 18 & 19, 2021
