The Connecticut Lyric Opera To Present ‘Aida’

The Connecticut Lyric Opera and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra will present Verdi’s “Aida” throughout the state.

The company will showcase the Verdi masterpiece with an international cast that includes Israeli Soprano Frederique Bosz and Lithuanian Jūratė Svedaite as Aida, Daniel Juarez as Radames, Russian contralto Galina Ivannikova as Amneris, Metropolitan Opera star Stefan Szkafarowsky and Steven Fredericks as Ramfis, Ivan Conrad as Amonasro, and, making a debut with the CLO, Kofi Heyford as The King Of Egypt.

The production will be staged and designed by director Jan Mason with artistic director Adrian Sylveen conducting.

The opera will be presented in New Britain, at the Trinity on Main Arts Center with additional performances scheduled for Hartford Wadsworth Arts Museum on May 13th, New London’s Garde Arts Center on May 18th, and MHS Arts Center in Middletown on May 19.
