The Cleveland Orchestra Adds Additional Performances to Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival

The Cleveland Orchestra has announced additional programming for its 2026 Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival.

David Butt Philip and Adrienne Danrich join Festival Curator Terence Blanchard for “Opera Now: Tradition, Innovation, and the Road Ahead,” a forum at The City Club of Cleveland on the future of the art form. André Gremillet moderates.

Performance Date: May 15, 2026


Brian Keith Johnson hosts “United in Song! A Community Choral Celebration,” featuring the Cleveland Chamber Choir, led by Gregory Ristow; the Hudson Community Choruses Adult Chorus, led by Jon C. Peterson; the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Chamber Chorus, led by Dr. William Henry Caldwell and conducted by Steven Weems; and The Singing Angels, led by Jim Koenig.

The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses present a free Spring Concert celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Preparatory Chorus is directed by Jacob Young and the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus is directed by Jennifer Rozsa.
