The Atlanta Opera Received Major Grant to Support Audiovisual Productions

The Atlanta Opera has announced the receipt of a $500,000 grant towards its digital media and technology capacity.

The grant is presented by the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation supports the organization’s pursuit of film and web-based content.

“To have the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation deepen their investment in The Atlanta Opera through this gift…it’s a vote of confidence and demonstrates their belief in the opera as a long-term asset to our community,” said Tomer Zvulun, Carl W. Knobloch, Jr. General and Artistic Director, in a press release.

The company is in the midst of filming its two fall productions of “Pagliacci” and “The Kaiser of Atlantis.” The organization is also gearing up to announce the launch of its digital platform.

“We are thrilled to have the support of the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation,” said Ashley Mirakian, Chief of Marketing and Audience Development. “This investment is a rocket booster to our film infrastructure, and our audience will definitely appreciate the exceptional cinematic quality this gift makes possible.”
