The Atlanta Opera Announces Three Live Concerts Under the Big Tent Series

The Atlanta Opera has announced its fall Big Tent Concert Series.

The company will present three new, live concerts from late October into November, in addition to the previously announced “Pagliacci” and “The Kaiser of Atlantis.”

The first evening will be “Mack the Knife: An evening of Kurt Weill” on Oct. 25 with Megan Marino, Brian Vu, and Jasmine Habersham. They will be joined by Susanne Burgess, Gabrielle Beteag, Joshua Conyers, and Richard T. Smagur.

The second performance, on Nov. 10, entitled “Mezzo Extravaganza,” will feature the four acclaimed mezzo-sopranos of The Atlanta Opera Company and Studio Players: Jamie Barton, Gabrielle Beteag, Daniela Mack, and Megan Marino.

The final performance on Nov. 15, entitled “Crossroads – A Variety Show,” will showcase multiple genres and feature the Company and Studio players. The ensemble will perform bluegrass, gospel, blues, and other American standards.
