The Atlanta Opera has announced a cast change in “Pagliacci.”

The company revealed that Studio Player Joshua Conyers will sing the role of Tonio for the final performances on Nov. 11, 13, and 14. Conyers replaces Reginald Smith Jr., who opened the production.

Conyers has performed at Carnegie Hall, Wolf Trap Opera, Washington National Opera, Opera Wilmington, Opera Lafayette, and  Palm Beach Opera. His roles include the First Priest in “The Magic Flute,” John Sorel in “The Consul,” Jim in “Porgy and Bess,” Giorgio Germont in “La Traviata,” British Major in “Silent Night,” Donkey in “The Lion, the Unicorn, and Me,” and Zaretsky in “Eugene Onegin.”

The baritone joins a cast that includes Richard Trey Smagur, Talise Trevigne, Joseph Lattanzi, and Megan Marino. Rolando Salazar conducts the production by Tomer Zvulun.
