The Angel’s Share To Present ‘Epilogues and Epitaphs’

The Angel’s Share will present “Epilogues and Epitaphs” with countertenor Daniel Moody and violinist Augusta McKay Lodge.

The performances, set for June 24-26 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, will also feature Voyage Sonique, which is comprised of cellist Keiran Campbel, theorbo player Adam Cockerham, and harpsichordist Robert Warner.

The ensemble will perform Rebel’s “Tombeau de Lully,” Handel’s “Waft her angels through the skies, Jephtha,” Corelli’s “Trio Sonata in D Major, Dowland’s “Now, o now, I needs most part,” Vivaldi’s “La Folia,” and Purcell’s “Evening Hymn.”

This performance is part of Death of Classical’s second season. Among the other offerings are “Burgers, Bourbon, & Beethoven,” Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas,” Liszt: Poetic and Religious Harmonies,” and Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater.”
