The Teatro Verdi Trieste has reappointed Giuliano Polo as its Sovrintendente.

Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli appointed Polo, who will take the position for the next five years.

The appointment also ends the search, which lasted over four months.

Over the years Polo has worked with the Conservatorio di musica “Giuseppe Tartini”, The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Associazione Teatro Pordenone, and Fondazione Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He previously worked with the Fondazione Teatro Lirico “Giuseppe Verdi” di Trieste as Professore d’orchestra. He also led the Arena di Verona as Sovrintendente.

This season, the Teatro Verdi Trieste is presenting “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” and “Le Nozze di Figaro.”
