Teatro San Carlo to Celebrate Anna Netrebko’s 30th Anniversary with ‘La Gioconda’

The Teatro San Carlo will celebrate Anna Netrebko with an added performance of Ponchielli’s “La Gioconda.”

The new performance will be held on April 7 and will celebrate Netrebko’s 30th anniversary of her stage debut.

The performance will star the Russian soprano alongside Jonas Kaufmann, Eve-Maud Hubeaux, Alexander Köpeczi, Kseniia Nikolaieva, and Ludovic Tézier. Pinchas Steinberg conducts the new production by Romain Gilbert.

The performance will take place before the originally announced performances that will begin on April 10 and run through April 17, 2024.

Netrebko will make her role debut in “La Gioconda” at the Salzburg Easter Festival alongside Kaufmann, and Luca Salsi under Sir. Antonio Pappano.
