Teatro Regio di Torino Reschedules & Cancels Performances

The Teatro Regio di Torino has rescheduled and canceled its March, April, and May performances.

The theater announced that Puccini’s “La Bohème,” originally scheduled for March 11 through 22 has been rescheduled for April 8 through 19.

Meanwhile, Berlioz’s “La Damnation de Faust,” originally scheduled for April 8 through 19, has been canceled.

Bach’s St. Matthew’s Passion will be rescheduled for April 29 through May 2. The performances were originally set for April 10 through 18.

The Teatro Regio also announced that symphonic concert originally scheduled for March 25 and conducted by Sergey Galaktionov will be canceled as well as the “La bohème, i ragazzi e l’amore” and Il mio primo Barbiere.”

The Teatro Regio di Torino closed last month due to the coronavirus outbreak. Italy is one of the hardest hit countries in the world and has becom the epicenter of COVID-19.

The theater is expected to reopen on April 3.
