Teatro Regio di Torino Announces Cast Change for ‘La Rondine’

By Francisco Salazar

The Teatro Regio di Torino has announced a cast change for its production of “La Rondine.”

The company said that Oreste Cosimo will replace Rodrigo Porras Garrido in the role of Ruggero.

Cosimo also took to social media, “Extremely excited to share my house & role DEBUT with you as RUGGERO at the Teatro Regio Torino! An incredible production by Pierre Emmanuel Rousseau, conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta with an outstanding cast: my Magda Carolina Lopez Moreno, Marco Ciaponi, Marilena Ruta, Vladimir Stoyanov, and many more. This will be one of the most important productions for me as I will be sharing the stage with my beautiful and talented wife Amelie Hois, who will be singing the role of Yvette. In 7 years of relationship and 2 months of marriage, many many concerts together and one CD, this will be the first time that we are singing in the same production together. Can’t wait for this experience. I want to thank the theatre for this opportunity as well as my wonderful agency Melos Opera and of course the whole cast of this ‘Rondine’ for welcoming me so warmly with open arms: Mario Rojas, Santiago Ballerini, Olga Peretyatko, Irina Bogdanova, and Ksenia Chubunova.”

“La Rondine” is set to be performed from Nov. 17 to 26, 2023.
