Operastreaming.com is set to present the Teatro Regio di Parma’s production of “Il Libro della Giungla.”

The children’s opera will be streamed on Dec. 3 and will stay on the platform for six months.

The new commission is for children and babies and will feature music by Giovanni Sollima and a libretto by Pier Francesco Maestrini. “Il Libro della Giungla” is the fifth commission for RegioYoung following ” Il gatto con gli stivali (2016),” “Il piccolo principe (2017),” and “La spada nella roccia e Alice (2018).”

The production will star Giulia Bolcato (Mowgli), Cecilia Bernini (Bagheera), Matteo Mollica (Shere-Khan/Gurilla), Roberto Maietta (Baloo), and Luigi Morassi (Akela/Kaa).

The opera is set to be performed on Nov. 30, Dec. 2, 3, and 4.
