By Francisco Salazar

The Teatro Regio di Parma has suspended its performances of Imparolopera Carmen on Jan 19, 2022.

The company noted that due to restrictions on children from first and second grade due to COVID-19, it will not be able to perform the work.

The format, which was created by Bruno Stori, Donatella Saccardi, and Vincenzo Raffaele Segreto and is among the first educational projects on opera, was inaugurated in 1999 by the Teatro Regio di Parma and the “Arrigo Boito” Conservatory. The program, which has been present year after year, has allowed 70,000 children to discover theater and music.

This year the program was dedicated to “Carmen” and Bruno Stori curated and directed with students of the Conservatory of music “Arrigo Boito ” in Parma.

The company announced that as soon as it can, it will announce a new date.
