Teatro Regio di Parma Receives 650,000 Euros For Eco-Efficiency Energy

The Minister of Culture has approved the application presented by the Teatro Regio di Parma for the betterment of eco-efficiency energy as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The Teatro Regio di Parma was awarded 650,000 Euros (the maximum of the funds awarded in the theater category).

The funds will be allocated to the implementation of heating, air conditioning, lighting, and reduction of heat loss. This will allow for a reduction in management costs and greater care for the environment and the future.

The Teatro Regio di Parma together with its partner Iren Smart Solutions, an expert in the field, has developed a large and complex multi-year intervention and maintenance project with the aim of making monitoring constant, thus preventing and limiting maintenance interventions as much as possible.

In a statement General Director of the Teatro Regio di Parma, Ana Maria Meo said, “Taking care of the Teatro Regio was immediately our priority. Numerous interventions have been designed and implemented, also with the support of the Committee of Supporters of the Teatro Regio, in favor of the conservation of a monument that is about to turn 200 years old, to make its spaces more and more comfortable for workers, artists and to the public, and also to increase its production capacity, having to allow in its limited spaces the contemporaneity of rehearsals, shows, conferences, and meetings.”
