The Teatro Regio di Parma will celebrate its 192 anniversary on May 16.

On the special occasion, the theater will give free tours for families and will feature the participation of artists from the Teatro del Cerchio, Mario Mascitelli, Mario Aroldi, and Gabriella Carrozza.

The guided tours will be given four times at 10, 12, 14, and 16 and all attendees must reserve tickets before. Marina Sabristov and Erika Tedeschi conduct the tours.

The Teatro Regio di Parma opened on May 16, 1829 with a production of Bellini’s “Zaira.” Duchess Maria Luigia was in attendance to inaugurate the historic theater.

The Teatro Regio di Parma recently presented a production of “Pelléas et Mélisande” digitally and presented a reimagined Verdi Festival in 2020.
