Teatro Regio di Parma Cancels Verdi Requiem Performance

By Francisco Salazar

On Sept. 20, the Teatro Regio di Parma canceled its performance of Verdi’s Requiem due to bad weather.

As a result, the theater has announced that ticket-holders will be able to get a reimbursement until Oct. 10, presenting their tickets at the box office. The reimbursement will be in the form of a Gift Card that will be valid until March 31, 2021, for any tickets at the Teatro Regio di Parma.

The Teatro Regio di Parma recently opened its Verdi Festival with a French “Macbeth” and is set to open a concert version of “Ernani,” which will be streamed. The festival will also present a Verdi Gala headlined by Luca Salsi and a concert conducted by Valery Gergiev. The festival will present “La Traviata” in Caravan.
