Teatro Regio di Parma Announces Summer Festival

The Teatro Regio di Parma in Italy has announced its Estate al Parco della Musica festival.

Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” will highlight the season with Laura Giordano, Antonio Mandrillo, Federico Longhi, and Pablo Galvez. Ferdinando Sulla conducts Pier Francesco Maestrini’s production.

Performance Dates: June 30-July 11, 2021

Orff’s “Carmina Burana” will feature Hasmik Torosyan, David Astorga, and Alberto Bonifazio. Giulio Zappa and Claudio Cirelli at the piano.

Performance Dates: July 3 & 5, 2021

The season will also include concerts, family events, and a number of chamber music concerts. There will also be a dance production of “Bolero/Carmen Sweet” and the festival will celebrate “Rigoletto’s” 180th anniversary since its world premiere with activities for the family featuring the title character.
