The Teatro Regio di Parma has announced that it will be able to accommodate 600 audience members in its principal auditorium.

The Teatro revealed that it came up with a plan to reopen indoor performances after conducting a study and consulting with specialists in safety measures.

The company will follow the DPCM rules with the project certified by the Medlavitalia S.r.l. The seating will allow 192 people in the orchestra, 96 spectators in the center boxes, and 240 in the rest of the boxes. In the gallery, seats will be placed in order to keep social distancing and it will hold up to 72 spectators.

In a statement, General Director Anna Maria Meo said, “There will be regular temperature checks at the entrance in compliance with health regulations and there will be regular monitoring of all personnel and artists with regular tests.”

The company is currently performing its annual Verdi Festival with concert productions of “Ernani” and “Macbeth.”
