Teatro Real Postpones ‘La Peste’

The Teatro Real has postponed “La Peste” by Roberto Gerhard at the Teatro Real.

The theater announced that the performances scheduled for June 15 through the 17, 2019 would be postponed due to internal organization. As a result, the performances will be rescheduled for a later time.

The performances would have marked the debut of Juanjo Mena, whose original debut was originally scheduled for performances of Arthur Honegger’s “Joan of Arc.” However, that was also postponed. 

As a result, the Teatro Real will refund ticket buyers.

The Teatro Real is currently presenting a new production of “Turandot” and will open its 2019 with “Das Rheingold”with Pablo Heras-Casado conducting an international cast. The Theater will also showcase “Idomeneo,” “La Calisto,” Dido and Aeneas,” “Falstaff” and “Giovanna d’Arco” among other operas.
