Teatro Metropolitano de Medellin to Present ‘L’Elisir d’Amore

The Teatro Metropolitano of Medellin is set to present a production of Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore.”

The opera will be performed on Sept. 8 and 9 and is directed by Sergio Cabrera, who pays homage to la Guajira and the Wayuu culture.

The cast is set to include Julián Henao González, Sara Bañeras, Hyalmar Mitrotti,  and Gianni Giugga.

The production first premiered in October of 2023 at the Teatro Mayor in Bogota and was broadcast worldwide on Canal Colombia. It is a production by Prolírica de Antioquia and Ópera de Colombia.
