Teatro Mayor In Bogota To Present Beethoven’s Ninth

The Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Fundación Rogelio Salmona.

The orchestra will perform Beethoven’s ninth symphony under the direction of Andrés Felipe Jaime with soprano Gloria Londoño, mezzo-soprano Jenny Andrea Orjuela Niño, tenor Pablo Martínez, and bass Valeriano Lanchas. They will be joined by la Sociedad Coral Santa Cecilia and el Coro Filarmónico Juvenil de la Filarmónica.

The Fundación Rogelio Salmona was created in honor of the the Franco-Colombian architect. Salmona was one of the foremost architects in Latin America who helped better structures in that part of the world.

The concert is set to be presented on Dec 13, 2019 at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo. All tickets will go to contribute to the foundation and its work.
