Teatro Massimo di Bellini Renews Artistic Director Contract

The Teatro Massimo di Bellini has renewed Fabrizio Maria Carminati’s contract as Artistic Director until 2027.

The board of directors announced the news after Sovrintendente Giovanni Cultrera di Montesano proposed it.

Carminati will begin his sixth year with the company. During his time, the theater has seen new heights of excellence and expanded the worldwide reach of the theater. He was appointed to his position as Artistic Director in January 2020.

Throughout his career, he has been the Artistic Director of the Teatro Donizetti of Bergamo, Artistic Director of the Fondazione Arena of Verona, and the Principal Guest Conductor of the Opera de Marseille. He has also been Principal Guest Conductor at the Fondazione Teatro Verdi of Trieste.
