The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari has announced its 2025-26 season.

The season opens with Verdi’s “Otello” with Francesco Lanzillotta conducting a new production by Roberto Catalano.

Performance Dates: Dec. 10-16, 2025

The second opera of the season will be Donizetti’s “Lucrezia Borgia” in a new production by Andrea Bernard. Leonard Sini conducts the bel canto masterwork.

Performance Dates: Jan. 28-Feb. 1, 2026

Bellini’s “Norma” returns to the Cagliari star after a 12-year absence. Elena Barbalich directs the production while Renato Palumbo conducts.

Performance Dates: March 18-22, 2026

Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” will be directed by Mario Martone and conducted by Federico Maria Sardelli.

Performance Dates: April 17-22, 2026

Michele Gamba conducts Puccini’s “Turandot” in a production by Rafael R. Villalobos.

Performance Dates: June 24-July 2, 2026

Nino Rota’s “Il cappello di paglia di Firenze” will be conducted by Valerio Galli and directed by Damiano Michieletto.

Performance Dates: Sept. 23-27, 2025

Enrico Lombardi conducts Verdi’s “Rigoletto” with Alessandro Talevi directing.

Performance Dates: Nov. 11-21, 2026
