Teatro La Fenice Concludes November Streams with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony

By Francisco Salazar

The Teatro La Fenice will continue its live stream series by celebrating Beethoven’s 250th anniversary.

On Nov. 27, the company will perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony without an audience under the direction of Myung-Whun Chung. The symphony will star soprano Laura Aikin, mezzo-soprano Anke Vondung, tenor Michael Schade, and bass Thomas Johannes Mayer. Marino Moretti will lead la Fenice’s chorus.

The concert will conclude La Fenice’s November streams and will be streamed on the company’s website as well as its YouTube page.

The Teatro La Fenice is one of the many Italian companies performing concerts for the web including the Donizetti Opera Festival, the Teatro San Caro, the Teatro alla Scala, and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

La Fenice is set to announce December programming in the coming weeks.
