Teatro la Fenice Announces Salieri, Mozart & Rossini Productions

The Teatro la Fenice is set to return to traditional operatic productions at the end of October.

The company will return to the Teatro Malibran with a new production of “Prima la musica e poi le parole” by Antonio Salieri and “Der Schauspieldirektor”by  Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The new production will be a collaboration between the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice and l’Accademia di Belle Arti and wil be directed by Italo Nunziata. Federico Maria Sardelli will conduct production, which is set to star Szymon Chojnacki, Francesco Vultaggio, Francesca Boncompagni, Rocío Pérez, Karl-Heinz Macek, Marco Ferraro, Francesco Bortolozzo, Michela Mocchiutti, Roberta Barbiero, Valeria de Santis, and Valentino Buzza.

Performance Dates: Oct. 9-20, 2020

At the Teatro la Fenice, Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” will be performed with a cast that includes Antonino Siragusa, Manuel Amati, Omar Montanari, Marco Filippo Romano,  Josè Maria Lo Monaco, Laura Verrecchia, Simone Del Savio, Filippo Fontana, and Andrea Patucelli.

Performance Dates: Oct. 18-25, 2020

The concert season will begin with Juraj Valčuha conducting a program of music by Debussy and Mussorgsky. Riccardo Muti will also return on Nov. 23 for his 50th-anniversary concert performing music by Schubert and Antonín Dvořák.
