Teatro la Fenice Announces New Streams

The Teatro la Fenice has announced new streams for May 15 and May 22, 2020.

The company will first stream Verdi’s “Aida” conducted by Riccardo Frizza. The performance from May 2019 stars Roberta Mantegna in the title role, Roberto Frontali, Francesco Meli, and Irene Roberts.

Meanwhile, the May 22 stream will be Puccini’s “Tosca” conducted by Daniele Rustioni. The cast from the 2018-19 season includes Chiara Isotton in the title role, Azer Zada as Cavaradossi, and  Sebastian Catana as Scarpia.

The Teatro la Fenice will stream the performances on its YouTube channel.

The company has been streaming operas since March 2 with many of the performances still available. Among the performances that the Teatro la Fenice has streamed include “Don Carlo,” “Attila,” “Semiramide,” and “Don Giovanni.”
