Teatro la Fenice Announces February Streams

The Teatro La Fenice has announced streams from Jan. 30 through March 6.

The streams will be showcased on the www.teatrolafenice.it and on the company’s YouTube channel and will be performed without an audience.

The programming opens on Jan. 30 with Markus Stenz conducting Richard Strauss’ “Der Bürger als Edelmann” and Mozart’s Symphony No. 41.

On Feb. 21, Antonello Manacorda conducts Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 with Carmela Remigio as the soloist.

On Feb. 27, the company will perform Debussy’s La Mer and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.” Juraj Valčuha conducts the performance.

Claudio Marino Moretti conducts the program set for Feb. 28. The showcase will feature “Plainscapesdi” by Pēteris Vasks, and Chichester Psalmsper by Leonard Bernstein.

The final performance of the month will be on March 6 and feature Ton Koopman. The program will feature Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 and Bach’s Orchestral suite 1 and 3.
