Teatro Grattacielo, Opera Hispánica & Others Team Up to Present ‘Canciones y Poemas

Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy will join forces with Columbus Citizens Foundation and Opera Hispánica to present “Canciones y Poemas.”

The recital will feature tenor Ricardo Garcia, pianist Howard Watkins, and soprano Sylvia D’Eramo as they explore Italian and Spanish verismo and folk songs by such composers as Mascagni, De Falla, Piazzola, Puccini, Granados, Montero, and Landau.

Garcia is the winner of the “Role Debut” prize at the 2020 Giovanni Consiglio International Competition. D’Eramo is a member of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program with the Metropolitan Opera.

The recital will be presented live at the Columbus Citizens Foundation in New York City on April 16, 2021. A recording by La Cuarta Productions, hosted by mezzo-soprano Eugenia Forteza, founder of 360° of Opera, will be streamed on May 7, 2021.
