Teatro Grattacielo has announced the appointment of Hilary Baboukis as Director of Artistic Operations and Programming.

Effective Sept. 1, 2026, Baboukis’ appointment marks the organization’s second full-time employee.

Baboukis is a Greek-American mezzo-soprano, conductor, and arranger and orchestrator, who serves as Associate Music Director at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City, teaches voice at Wagner College in Staten Island, and maintains a private voice studio in Jersey City.

“Hilary has already become an essential part of Teatro Grattacielo, and I have had the opportunity to watch her grow both as an artist and as an administrator,” said Stefanos Koroneos, General and Artistic Director of Teatro Grattacielo, per an official press release. “Making this position full time is not only an investment in Hilary, but an investment in the future of the company.”
