Teatro Grattacielo & Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy to Present Handel’s ‘Messiah’

By David Salazar

Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy have announced a performance of the first part of Handel’s “Messiah” set for Dec. 10, 2020.

The production, which was produced during the COVID-19 lockdown at the Latea Theater in New York City, will feature soprano Hjunju Ha, mezzo-soprano Karolina Pilou, tenor Thomas Massey, and bass Rick Agster as the soloists.

Joining them will be the American Modern Ensemble and conductor David Rosenmeyer. The production was filmed and edited by Deepdof with Rodrigo Aranjuelo providing Audio Recording and Editing.

“I am happy to be able to provide to our friends and audiences a ‘Christmas bonus’ that marks our very first collaboration with the American Modern Ensemble and Maestro David Rosenmeyer,” the company stated in an official statement.

The performance can be viewed via the company’s official website.

This is the latest digital production by Teatro Grattacielo following an homage to Beniamino Gigli and a production of “Fedora” directed by Malena Dayen.
