Teatro Grattacielo & Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy Announces Winners of Giovanni Consiglio International Competition

The Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy have announced the winners of the first edition of the Giovanni Consiglio International Competition.

Taking home the first prize was American soprano Alexandra Raskazoff. In second place came Italian soprano Mariangela Santoro.

South African tenor Makudupanyane Senaoana was awarded the Scholarship Prize while South African tenor Slovo Magida took home the Arthur Levy Scholarship.

There were three winners of the Main Stage Debut with Teatro Grattacielo. They include American tenor Ricky Garcia, Greek soprano Maritina Tampakopoulos, and Chinese soprano Nina Mutalifu.

The singers were selected from among 256 singers from 29 countries. Watch the competition here.

Next up for Teatro Grattaciello will be a filmed performance of “Fedora” and “Beniamino Gigli, 100 Years at the Met, Scenes from Boito’s ‘Mefistofele.’”
