Teatro Grattacielo Appoints Felipe Tristan as Associate Conductor

By Logan Martell

Teatro Grattacielo has announced that Felipe Tristan has been named as the new Associate Conductor at Teatro Grattacielo and Camerata Bardi Vocal Academy.

The Mexican-born conductor has performed worldwide in symphonic works, opera, and musical theatre. Tristan currently serves as the Associate Conductor of the Brooklyn Symphony, and Conductor at the Manhattan School of Music. The winner of multiple conducting competitions, he has collaborated with artists from the Met Opera, the NY Phil, and the Grammy Award-winning Afro Latin Jazz Alliance.

“I am excited and honored to join Teatro Grattacielo as Associate Conductor,” says Tristan. “I look forward to working with this extraordinary team and to helping advance the mission and presence of this prestigious company.”

Founded in 1994, Teatro Grattacielo presents lesser-known works in concert-style or semi-staged productions, such as Riccardo Zandonai’s “I Cavalieri di Ekebù,” and Mascagni’s “Guglielmo Ratcliff.” The company works with world-class soloists and provides emerging artists with performance opportunities.
