Teatro dell’Opera di Roma to Stream ‘Carmen’

The Teatro Digitale of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to continue from Nov. 17 to 22, 2020.

The company will dedicate its streams to the character of “Carmen” in both Opera and Ballet.

First, the company will stream the 2017 production of Bizet’s masterpiece in  Valentina Carrasco’s production conducted by Jesús López-Cobos. The cast includes Veronica Simeoni as Carmen, Roberto Aronica as Don José, Alexander Vinogradov as Escamillo, and Rosa Feola as Micaëla.

Streaming Dates: Nov. 17, 19 & 21, 2020

Then the theater will stream the ballet in a production choreographed by Jiří Bubeníček. The production features music by Bizet, Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and Gabriele Bonolis, as well as flamenco music. Rebecca Bianchi dances the lead role alongside Amar Ramasar and Alessio Rezza
