The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to present Puccini’s “La Bohème” on Rai3 on April 8, 2022.

The company will also showcase the film on Rai Cultura which was conducted by Michele Mariotti and directed by Mario Martone.

In a statement, Martone said,  “I wanted to tell the story or rather, the life of the characters of Bohème as a film of the ‘nouvelle vague.'”

The film stars Jonathan Tetelman as Rodolfo and Federica Lombardi as Mimi. Musetta and Marcello are performed by Valentina Naforniţă and Davide Luciano while Schaunard is performed by Roberto Lorenzi and Colline by Giorgi Manoshvili. The cast is rounded out by Armando Ariostini (Benoît), Bruno Lazzaretti (Alcindoro), Giordano Massaro (un venditore ambulante), Vinicio Cecere (Parpignol), Daniele Massimi (un doganiere), and Alessandro Fabbri (sergente dei doganieri). Roberto Gabbiani directed the chorus.
