Teatro dell’Opera di Roma to Present ‘Cinema Opera’

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to present opera films at the Piazzale Antistante of the Teatro Costanzi in a series entitled “Cinema Opera.”

The company will present “Il barbiere di Siviglia,” “La traviata,” and “La bohéme” directed by Mario Martone from August 10 to 13, 2022. The series will be presented in collaboration with Rai Cultura and Martone will be present before each screening.

“Il barbiere di Siviglia” film will be presented starring Andrzej Filończyk, Ruzil Gatin, Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Alessandro Corbelli, Alex Esposito, Patrizia Biccirè, and Roberto Lorenzi.

Screening Date: August 11, 2022  

Puccini’s “La bohème” is conducted by Michele Mariotti and stars Jonathan Tetelman, Federica Lombardi, Valentina Naforniţă, Davide Luciano, Roberto Lorenzi, Armando Ariostini, Bruno Lazzaretti, Giordano Massaro, Vinicio Cecere, Daniele Massimi, and Maurizio Cascianelli.

Screening Date: August 12, 2022  

“Il suono della bellezza – Nuit Romaine” is a special collaboration with the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and la Galleria Borghese. Daniele Gatti condcuts the production fetauring works by Händel, Vivaldi, Paisiello, Mozart, and Bellini. Rosa Feola is featured in the special.
