
Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Names New Artistic Director

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced Alessandro Galloppini as its new Artistic Director.
Galoppini will commence his tenure on March 10, 2026.
In a statement superintendent Francesco Giambrone said, “We are delighted with the appointment of Alessandro Galoppini, a professional and musician who has spent his life in theaters and who now joins us for new challenges with the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. I would like to express the entire Theater’s appreciation for Paolo Arcà, for the generosity and expertise with which he has guided the artistic direction, guiding the Theater through a period of significant growth.”
Galoppini has worked with the Teatro Regio di Torino and the Teatro alla Scala.
