Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Cancels Terme di Caracalla Summer Season

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced the cancellation of the summer season at the Terme di Caracalla due to the state of emergency in Italy.

The company revealed that all performances scheduled for the summer season will be rescheduled for the 2021 season and 2020 tickets will be valid for next season.

Among the performances rescheduled include “Claudio Baglioni – Dodici notte,” Andrea Bocelli, Vinicio Capossela’s “Bestiario d’Amore,” “Roberto Bolle and Friends,” and “David Garrett – Unlimited Live.”

The news comes after Carlo Fuortes announced that the company would be presenting a new production of “Rigoletto” at the Villa Borghese and concert performances of Il Barbiere di Siviglia” this summer. He also announced that the autumn season would likely not happen due to new regulations.
