The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has announced a cast change for its upcoming production of “Turandot.”

The company announced that Ewa Vesin will replace Amber Wagner in the title role.

Vesin recently sang “The Fiery Angel” at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and Polish National Opera, “Die tote Stadt,”and “Turandot”at the Opera Podlaska, “Tosca” at Opera en Plein Air. This season she sings “Halka” and “The Fiery Angel” at the Polish National Opera, “Andrea Chenier” at the Ópera Nacional de Chile Santiago, and “Tosca” at Opera Australia.

Vesin joins a cast that also includes Arsen Soghomonyan, Francesca Dotto, and Antonio Di Matteo. She shares the title role with Anna Pirozzi. Alejo Pérez conducts.

Wagner has no upcoming performances in her schedule.

“Turandot” opens on March 25, 2020 and runs through April 5, 2020.
