The Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid has announced a cast change for its production of “Luisa Fernanda.”

The company said that Carmen Artaza will replace María José Montiel, who has canceled due to acute tracheatitis. She will sing the in first cast with performances scheduled for June 21, 23, 25, and 29.

Artaza, who was scheduled to perform in the second cast will therefore be replaced by Amparo Navarro. Navarro will perform on June 22, 24, 28, and 30.

Artaza will join a cast that includes Juan Jesús Rodríguez as Hernando, Sabina Puértolas as Carolina, and Ismael Jordi as Javier. Meanwhile, Navarro will join a cast that includes Rubén Amoretti, Rocío Ignacio, and Alejandro del Cerro. Miguel Ángel Gomez-Martínez conducts the production by Davide Livermore.
