The Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville has canceled “Je suis narcissiste” by Raquel García-Tomás.

The Spanish company announced that due to new measures implemented to contain the spread of COVID-19, the production has been canceled. The showcase, which was set to be present on Dec. 10, 11, and 12, will be rescheduled for a future date.

The theater also announced that it will attempt to present the work online on the originally scheduled dates from performances at the Teatro Español de Madrid during the work’s premiere in 2019.

The news comes as numerous Spanish theaters have canceled productions due to the rise in COVID-19 cases. However, the Teatro Real has continued to perform while the Gran Teatre del Liceu is set to reopen after closing for a month to stop the spread of the virus.
