
Teatro Carlo Felice to Present ‘Andrea Chenier’
By Francisco SalazarThe Teatro Carlo Felice is set to present Umberto Giordano’s “Andrea Chenier.”
The opera will be performed from Feb. 6 to Feb. 15 with Donato Renzetti conducting a production by Pier Francesco Maestrini.
The production will star Fabio Sartori in Andrea Chénier, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, and Stefano Meo as Carlo Gérard, and Maria Josè Siri as Maddalena di Coigny.
The cast also includes Cristina Melis (La mulatta Bersi), Siranush Khachatryan (La contessa di Coigny), Manuela Custer (Madelon), Nicolò Ceriani (Roucher), Matteo Peirone (Fléville), Marco Camastra (Fouquier Tinville), Luciano Roberti (Mathieu), Didier Pieri (Un incredibile), Gianluca Sorrentino (L’abate), Franco Rios Castro (Il maestro di casa), Angelo Parisi (Dumas), and Andrea Porta (Schmidt).
The production that will be presented was created in 2022 for the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and was later shown in 2023 at the Monte Carlo Opera.
