Teatro Carlo Felice Announces New Music Director

The Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Italy has named Riccardo Minasi its new Music Director.

Minasi, who will take the position from 2022 to 2025, will make his debut at the Teatro Carlo Felice in November conducting “La Cenerentola” in November 2022.

Minasi’s is currently the Chief Conductor at the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Artist in residence at Ensemble Resonanz at Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, and the first Artistic Director of La Scintilla based at the Opernhaus Zurich. He is also the co-founder of il Pomo d’Oro where he served from 2012 to 2015. He has conducted at the Dutch National Opera, Theater an der Wien, Salzburg Festival, Staatsoper Hamburg, and Opera de Lyon.

The company announced that Fabio Luisi will be the Honorary Conductor, Donato Renzetti will become Conductor Emeritus and Francesco Filidei will be Composer in residence.
