Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli Announces Fall 2021-22 Season

The Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli in Cremona, Italy has announced its autumn 2021-22 season featuring four productions.

Here is a breakdown of what audiences can expect.

Ivan Stefanutti directs a production of Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” with Leonardo Sini conducting.

Performance Dates: Oct. 8 & 10, 2021

Verdi’s “Il Trovatore” returns with Jacopo Brusa conducting and Roberto Catalano directing. 

Performance Dates: Nov. 18 & 20, 2021

Gluck’s “Iphigénie en Tauride” will be conducted by Federico Ferri and directed by Emma Dante.

Performance Dates: Dec. 3 & 5, 2021

Pietro Rizzo conducts Puccini’s “La Faniculla de West” in a production by Andrea Cigni.

Performance Dates: Jan. 21 & 23, 2022
