The Teatro alla Scala’s new “Lucia di Lammermoor” production is set to broadcast worldwide.

The company announced that the premiere on April 13 will be broadcast on Rai Radio 3 and on Rai 5 tv.

The new production by Yannis Kokkos will be conducted by Riccardo Chailly and will feature the second critical edition by Gabriele Dotto e Roger Parker. Lisette Oropesa sings the title role alongside Juan Diego Florez as Edgardo. The cast also includes Boris Pinkhasovich, Leonardo Cortellazzi, and Michele Pertusi.

The new production of “Lucia di Lammermoor” was originally intended to open in 2020 but was postponed due to the Pandemic.

“Lucia di Lammermoor” is set to be performed through May 5, 2023.
