Teatro alla Scala Launches Digital Archive Starring Luca Salsi, Francesco Meli, Krassimira Stoyanova, Andrea Mastroni

The Teatro alla Scala has launched a digital archive with Google Arts and Culture.

The theater announced its via social media stating, “Walk with Street View in the Theater, in the backstage and the workshops, discovering unique details and over 259,000 images digitalized from our Archives.

The archive is presented with La Scala performing in quarantine. Luca Salsi, Francesco Meli, Krassimira Stoyanova, Andrea Mastroni, 26 chorus members, and 60 instrumentalists will be featured.

The digital archive also features videos of the making of “Tosca” and “Atilla” as well as archival photos from some of the most famed artists that have graced the stage. It also includes an inside look at backstage and posters. There are also images of historical productions featuring Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, Anna Netrebko, Placido Domingo, Juan Diego Florez, and Franco Corelli.
