Tarrytown Music Hall to Present ‘A Show of Caring: A Benefit Concert for Ukraine’

Tarrytown Music Hall is set to present “A Show of Caring: A Benefit Concert for Ukraine” on March 27, 2022.

The showcase will feature performances by bass Stefan Szkafarowsky, countertenor Jeffrey Charles Palmer, pianist Irena Portenko and Svetlana Gorokhovich. The performance will feature a wide range of repertory, including a special appearance from the Ukranian “Dumka” Chorus.

Szkafarowsky is a recipient of grants from the Sullivan Foundation and the Tito Gobbi Award from the Rosa Ponselle Foundation. He appeared at the Metropolitan Opera in such works as “The Nighting Gale,” “Werther,” and “War and Peace,” among others.

He has also performed with such companies as the the Atlanta Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Opera Pacific, Minnesota Opera, Florentine Opera, Washington Opera, New Jersey Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, New York City Opera, Grand Rapids Opera, Metro Lyric Opera, New Orleans Opera, Arizona Opera, San Diego Opera, Dallas Opera, and Pittsburgh Opera, among others.
