Tarek Abdalla Appointed to Pittsburgh Opera Board of Directors

Pittsburgh Opera has announced that Tarek Abdalla has joined its board of directors.

A partner at the law firm Jones Day, Abdalla bring with him experience in representing contractors, owners, developers, equipment suppliers, engineers, and architects in notable public and private projects in the industries of energy and construction, including power plants, pipelines, and forms of energy infrastructure.

Abroad, Abdalla has taken on cases with the International Chamber of Commerce, the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre, the London Court of International Arbitration, the American Arbitration Association, and more. He is also a lecturer on matters of energy and construction, with his articles appearing in national and international publications.

On this appointment, Pittsburgh Opera Board Chair Michele Fabrizi says: “We are quite pleased that Tarek has joined our Board. He brings a global perspective, a sharp mind, and considerable acumen to Pittsburgh Opera, and we are delighted to have him.”
