The Calgary Opera will close its 2021-22 season with Verdi’s “La Traviata.”

The company will present Verdi’s masterpiece on April 2, 6, and 8, 2022 with a cast that includes Talise Trevigne in the title role, Andrew Haji as Alfredo, and Hyung Yun  as Germont.

In a statement Heather Kitchen, General Director and CEO of Calgary Opera noted, “We are so delighted to be once again performing for an audience. The connection created between audiences and performers during a live performance is integral to experiencing the full depth of the stories and music opera offers, and we are so pleased to be presenting La Traviata after being forced to postpone this production. It is a dazzling grand finale for our season and well worth the wait.”

Stage Director Alain Gauthier will bring the opera to Paris’ roaring 1920s and coupled with Christina Poddubiuk’s glamorous set and costume designs, this production sparkles at every turn.
