Tenor Emile Belcourt has died after a brief illness. The tenor, born in Laflèche, Saskatchewan passed away on August 3, 2017, after a lengthy career at the English National Opera. The English National Opera has released its schedule for the 2017-18 season which features nine operas between September 2017 and April 2018.
