Tacoma Opera Announces 2026-27 Season

Tacoma Opera has unveiled its 2026-27 season.

The company will present Wagner’s “Die Walküre” at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma, Washington. Bernard Kwiram is set to conduct and Thomas Harper directs. The cast is led by Bryan Glenn Davis as Wotan, Tara Jamshidian as Brünnhilde, Jessica Sandidge as Sieglinde, James Chamberlain as Siegmund, Jonah Spool as Hunding, and Rachelle Moss as Fricka and Schwertleite. A full company of eight Valkyries completes the ensemble.

Performance Dates: Oct. 9 & 11, 2026


Then comes the “Opera and All that Jazz!” gala.

“Le Nozze di Figaro” will star Jorell Williams as Figaro, Kristen Marie Gillis as Susanna, DeAndre Simmons as Count Almaviva, Brianna J. Robinson as Countess Almaviva, and Leeza Yorke as Cherubino. The production by Fralisa McFall sets the opera in the time of the Harlem Renaissance. Daren Weissfisch conducts.
